Thanks Chuck and Zak...

I checked my web)browser language detection method... it runs well with IE... the problem was not that, but your remarks put me on the right way to search...

1- NPE EXception -> empty dictionary -> but running well in any language BUT English... 2- IE was my only web browser not localized (only English in prefs)

1+2 => something was wrong with the English version of the dictionary ? YES (data missing for this specific english-version dictionary)

sorry Bill, your IE is not faulty... but it's still not the best..... sorry Steve, your Safari is not anymore my favorite browser.... Firefox is now #1.. until.....
