I'd like to start this thread to share the things to do and the ones
not to do, now Leopard is here.
Here's my actual setup which some might share:
Development on Tiger with WO5.3, Eclipse 3.3.1and latest WOLips
Deployment on Tiger Server WO5.3 (on a PPC G4)
In a couple days, we'll likely move our development machine to Leopard.
So this lead to a coupe question:
-Will Eclipse/WOLips work the expected way on 10.5? It's easy to try
of course, but I'm sure some at WWDC as already stress test this
setup and have a valuable insight:)
-If we develop on Leopard and deploy on Tiger, should/do we have to
check the "WO 5.4" checkbox in Eclipse? what is it actually doing?
-Should we keep the Tiger WO Frameworks on the development machine to
prevent any issue as we'll be deploying on Leopard only in 2 month
(so the deployment will stil be done on WO5.3 on Tiger)?
-If we work on WO5.4/Leopard and deploy on WO5.3/Tiger, what issue
should we get ready to handle?
As every OS migration we all have to deal with de-synchronization
between development plateforme and deployment plateforme, I'll be
happy to get as ready as possible:)
