framework images do not appear in a deployed application

I have just deployed a new web application that uses D2W Embedded components such as D2WEdit. All is fine in development, but in the deployment, images eg EditMetalBan.gif, do not appear. If I try to open the missing image I get a 404 error saying that /WebObjects/ Frameworks/JavaDirectToWeb.framework/WebServerResources/ EditMetalBan.gif does not exist on this server.

Anybody come across this problem?

I built the app using 5.2.4, and deploy on 10.3.9
