PostgreSQL/MySQL performance with WebObjects

Hi everyone!

I rather new to WebObjects and Java (half a year), but not to coding. I
have big project going on and first I tried PostgreSQL (for it's various
features for enterprise level usage) - but as PlugIn and JDBC
Adaptor was somehow absolete and had various glitches, I went with
MySQL, with which I have now stick with.

Now I would like to give a PostgreSQL a try again (I'm nearing testing
phase), and as far as I see, more current PostgreSQL stuff is in WOnder
project CVS (Previously I downloaded it from one site).

But then in general I would like to ask - wich db would you use on heavy
used website? I have rather ok expierence with MySQL, but they have been
on quite small scale projects, based on PHP. But many critics and
reviews claim that MySQL is not for enterprise level, so it would be
clever to check out all aviable options.

Do PostgreSQL goes well with JDBC/WebObjects? Does it pefroms better
with them than MySQL?

And last question - has anyone tried to "marry" WebObjects and MySQL
5.0? Any bonuses/speed improvements?

Already thanks in bonus,
Peter.
