Here's another handy method:


@SuppressWarnings("unchecked")
public static <T extends EOEnterpriseObject> T newEntityForClass(EOEditingContext ec, Class<T> theClass) {
return (T) EOUtilities.createAndInsertInstance(ec, EOUtilities.entityForClass(ec, theClass).name());
}

and then you can do:

MyClass foo = newEntityForClass(MyClass.class);
