perhaps this wasn't in the xfree86 distributed version of Xplugin.h? It was added before beta3 and was defined in the header file I sent you yesterday (and to the list, but which is currently in moderation limbo..)

Thanks. Now that your message with Xplugin.h v1.4 has surfaced, compilation goes through to the end. It builds and installs X11.app now (into /Application/Utilities/) And it works! At least with twm or fvwm2. The quartz-wm from beta-0.3 doesn't want to run, though. It says "another window manager is already running, exiting", although this is not true.

Fullscreen is working, too. One can even switch between fullscreen and rootless mode from the Preferences panel while X11 is running. Fullscreen seems faster than with XDarwin/xfree86-4.3, although I haven't had much time to test yet.

asxless: You can say "make Everything". This is faster than "make World". Or even directly "sudo make install". It should compile the missing things before trying to install them. Worked for me, anyway.
