I just tried and it works well. It starts two instances of the server.

They are two independent applications. See the screenshot here
(particularly, the two icons to the right for X and the two gnome-terminal in
the middle where I have printed the value of DISPLAY)

Yes, it can, just plug them to the USB ports. They work all as the
same, though.
