X11 and XDM (Newbie)

Hi,

We would like to set up X11 so that it automatically connects to an X11 client using XDM, we always connect to the same client and do not use X11 for anything else. In the past, we have used Tenon's X-Ten (I have also tried their X-Tools) and we had no problem configuring it to connect via remote XDM, we just had to enter the server address and everything else was taken care of.

How can I configure X11 to do the same thing? I have tried SSH to no avail and also searched the web, but I can't seem to make sense of the information that's out there - I am pretty new to UNIX and X11. Can anybody advise me how to set up our X11 for remote XDM?

Any help is greatly appreciated,

Carsten
