According to xev the option key has a keysym of Mode_switch and command is Meta_L. I don't know what is going on, but I just made my own Xmodmap file and fixed it. I used one posted tot he list which I thought I'd done before. At first it failed then I realized why. I had created it using BBedit and saved it with usual (for BBEdit) linebreak. That meant Macintosh style break; once I re-saved it with UNIX style linebreaks things worked properly. Opps! The clash of operating systems...don'tcha know... ** Ken ** On 5/28/03 at 5:06 PM, email@hidden (P T Withington) wrote: >You can try xev, to see what your keyboard is sending. ** Kenneth Knight Web Design, IT Consultant, Software Engineer ** ** email@hidden http://www.speakeasy.org/~krk ** ** Ultralight backpacker http://www.speakeasy.org/~krk ** _______________________________________________ x11-users mailing list | email@hidden Help/Unsubscribe/Archives: http://www.lists.apple.com/mailman/listinfo/x11-users X11 for Mac OS X FAQ: http://developer.apple.com/qa/qa2001/qa1232.html Report issues, request features, feedback: http://developer.apple.com/bugreporter Do not post admin requests to the list.
