Yes, those two invocations do behave differently. I get a visible window
with just "xeyes" and no visible window with "-geometry ...."

thanks, I reproduced your setup here and saw the bug - I've fixed it now. (there was an bug in how quartz-wm keeps windows on the display, it only shows up when the top-left corner of the rectangle containing all displays is not actually touching any display..)
