Re: Remote X

Hi Rich,
Remote display is not set to anything. But my machine has a private IP and not static IP. So I have no idea how I can change the DISPLAY setting to my machine. I was using the ssh X for the very reason that I could not export DISPLAY.
I tried to login from apple to a remote Linux Machine using ssh -X and I had no problem running X applications.

echo $DISPLAY

Hi Rich,
Thanks for a quick response. I was not very clear here when I asked the question. I am not trying to login to OS X X11. I am trying to login to Solaris XWindows from OS X X11. I am still getting the same error after trying as you told. Can't open the display.
The remote solaris machine cannot open the display on the MAC OS X through SSH tunneling.

Any suggestions!

Ashish
