Dear Ashish,

this might seem too basic, but did you do
"xhost +"
and get the classic:
"access control disabled, clients can connect from any host"
before starting the ssh command?
This is my main reason to use X11 and I connect to Solaris
machines via Telnet all the time from OS X 10.3.5

As has been discussed here before, you really don't want to do that.

If you're using ssh, it will handle everything for you if configured correctly. And if you're not (e.g. using telnet), then I sure hope you trust everybody who has access to the network between the two machines.

ssh is so ubiquitous these days, I really don't know why anyone would not want to use it.
