Hi All,You may just need to type 'xhost +' (or xhost <mac system name>) on the Solaris box to allow remote X clients to display on it. That's usually what that error means. By default, remote clients do not have access.
I have just joined the mailing list. I am currently running into a problem of connecting remotely to a Solaris X Server. The command which works generally with Linux X server ssh -X username@remotemachine doesn't work with Solaris. It seems to work but then when I execute an X application it comes back with an error Can't open the display. Since my machine has a private IP I couldn't see any other option other than tunneling X through SSH. Can anybody help me to figure out why the remote machine cannot open the display. I am running X server on OS X 10.3.
Thanks!
Ashish
