Fwd: command not found on everything installed via fink!

Hi, echo $PATH gives me /bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin

the only file of those listed which has any content is .profile which contains

test -r /sw/bin/init.sh && . /sw/bin/init.sh

how do I move the files out of the way?

Thanks
Emma

Hello,

Move them all out of the way incrementally and after each one, open a
new terminal and echo $PATH. This way, you might be able to tell which
one is affecting you path.

Alternatively, post any alterations of your $PATH variable made in
those files to this list so we can help you correct any mistakes.

Oh Dear, i've edited each of

DISPLAY=":0.0"" when I run xterm apps. (all seemed blank or so I
thought..
Now nothing I installed using fink commander works, echo $path comes up
blank. Help how can I get it all back?
