| I'm having strange behavior from X11 since installing Tiger. When I use ssh -X from the X server application, I can do anything I want within that window on Solaris except for two things: xterm& or workshop& The xterm window launches, but when I type into it, it does away. The X client workshop (Sun's dev environment) won't launch at all. The following is an error message reported back to the first window: X Error of failed request: BadAtom (invalid Atom parameter) Major opcode of failed request: 18 (X_ChangeProperty) Atom id in failed request: 0x10b Serial number of failed request: 13 Current serial number in output stream: 14 The workaround to having multiple xterm is to log in multiple times. I have no workaround for launching workshop. workshop complained about running ttsession; however, I never had to do this before. Both xterm& and workshop& worked before upgrading. I'm communicating with work using VPNClient for Cisco over Verizon DSL. thanks. |
