I found that several X11 apps crash with a
segmentation fault when they run on a MacBook Pro with
10.4.8. The X11 version is the one that shipped with
the installation CDs, so I guess it's not a problem
related to the latest X11 update.
The apps are PPC binaries. I'm not sure if it also
happens with Universal binaries.
However, it seems other users are experiencing this
same problem (with Matlab and IDL) and I found that
many people recommends not to update to 10.4.8 on
intel macs because of this.
Should I file a bug to Apple, or are they aware of
this already?
Any known workarounds?
