Hi,

The whinge was aimed at Apple and Tiger --> Leopard. I have nothing but gratitude towards Ben's great work and help :)

Are you speaking about Tiger -> Leopard in general? If so, it would be useful to have bugs filed (http://bugreporter.apple.com) which describe the shortcomings in the upgrade experience so they can be fixed in subsequent updates. If you're speaking specifically about applying Ben's tarballs, please (everyone) do bear in mind that those are NOT "Apple updates" by any stretch of the imagination. Those will arrive exclusively via Software Update and what you're getting from Ben right now qualifies as "Alpha testing at your own risk", so if your whinge is about that, it's neither appropriate or merited.

Thanks,

- Jordan
