Tiger X11 gotchas, was: Constructive conversations

For me at least, it didn't work when I had installed X11 from the
Tiger distribution disk. But fortunately, I had done an Archive and
Install for Leopard, so I was able to grab X11.app from the previous
system and use that, and it worked.

Getting back to having the Leopard X11 working again was actually a
bit more involved, but in retrospect I see that it was part stupidity
on my part. In particular, in addition to installing X11 from
Leopard distribution media, you probably also wish to get the X11 SDK
and X11 Documentation from Xcode tools. (I didn't realize I could,
and fished them out of the X11 directory I had moved aside, guided by
the output of pkgutil --files ... commands.)

I also found that reloading the org.x.X11 launchagent and then logging
out and back in was not sufficient: I had to reboot before I had the
Leopard X11 working again.
