The consolation is that it does work with a 3-button mouse.
I presume this means that it won't work using the trackpad on the
Macbook Pro. With scrolling and 2-finger tapping, I don't bother to
use any mouse with my laptops.
Correct, I can find now way to emulate a middle mouse button with any
combination of presses with a MBP trackpad.
