Re: .h files get added to Bundle Resources group

Ok, thanks, but suppose I drag and drop an entire folder into the project, a folder with both .m and .h files. The .m files have to be added to the target, yes? And there is only one dialog that comes up where I'm given the chance to check or not check targets. In this case is there a way to prevent the .h files from being added to the bundle resources group?

Which by the way is the same problem that happens when adding a new file and selecting to have the "wizard" create the corresponding .h file. The only choice is to have neither or both added to targets.

Also this doesn't happen with other projects I have - or so I think - actually maybe it does - I'll have to go check that.

.h files don't need to be added to any given target, as long as they are in the project, Xcode will pick them up. When you add a file to the project just make sure that no targets are checked to add the file to.

For Xcode 1.5 the templates were updated not to have a Headers build phase unless the product being built did something with them (like a framework).

I have a project in which every time I add a .h file Xcode 1.5 adds it to the group I had selected and to the Targets->"app name"->Bundle Resources group. I can add the .h via the menu File->New File... or by simply dragging from the finder. I didn't notice this until I looked at the built product's resources folder one day and saw a number of .h files in it.

Anybody else seen this? If so do you have a fix for it?

As is I now have to go to the bundle resources group after adding a file to the project and remove it from that group if it was added. Pain in the...
