Problems with gcc 3.3 in Xcode 1.5

I just stated to port an application from Metrowerks CodeWarrior to Xcode
1.5 and have to deal with a few major compiler problems/bugs in gcc 3.3 that
comes with XCode 1.5.  One of the biggest problems is bug 11332
(http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=11332) that actually seems to
have been already fixed.

How would I be able to obtain a fixed version of gcc that runs with Xcode
1.5 or to patch my current gcc version?
