Hi Steven,

the best thing I can come up with is to bind Tab to Indent Selection (in Key Bindings Preferences -> Text Key Bindings).
That indents when the tab key is pressed, although it will indent always. Whether there is a selection or not (probably
there is the conceptual selection of a range with length 0 - the insertion point...)
Pressing Option-Tab inserts a tab character.


Still not a perfect fit for your needs, but may be better than nothing. Most of the time you are probably not entering tab characters,
anyway.


Xcode doesn't have context-sensitive keybindings as far as I can tell. IMHO that would be confusing at besting, because the context
is sometimes hard to infer. Thus all the modifier keys...
