Re: Is PkgInfo needed in an app?

I believe we use the Creator and Type codes from the Properties pane of the target inspector when populating the PkgInfo. I believe we also have some issues in Xcode 2.2.x about getting the proper Creator and Type values from the Info.plist if you are pre-processing it

I don't think PkgInfo files in bundles have been used since 10.3, possibly even earlier.

I found some mention in the archives about PkgInfo being deprecated for app bundles. Xcode is currently building all of mine with only ???????? in them instead of the correct values. I have a hunch this might be causing a problem with DragThing not recognizing my apps as apps (I've reported this to the author). So what's the scoop with PkgInfo files in app bundles? I found nothing useful on the web site.
