Re: Only Link In Essential Symbols

LUCA:
Thanks for your response, Luca. Unfortunately, I have no ".a" files anywhere that I can see... Just ".o" files. I am building all projects and subprojects in native architecture (in this case, ppc).

I have not upgraded to Xcode 2.2.1 yet - I've heard conflicting reports about whether or not it's a good idea if I don't absolutely need to. But perhaps this issue is one that's fixed in 2.2.1?

GRAHAM:
I actually haven't gotten any errors or warnings - the program just flies right by the breakpoint without looking back. Perhaps it's different symptoms of the same problem though...

Thanks,
Jeff

I've found in the Xcode 2.2.1 release note the following open issue:

"Xcode does not support Essential Symbol in projects that use Universal archive files. The workaround is to use single architecture ".a" files in your development build, and building Universal for release. This bug does not affect Universal dylibs or executables, only .a files"

That's all.
