I'm wondering exactly why is it so slow. I heard .NET with managed
code also has bounds checking etc too. It doesn't seem as slow as
GuardMalloc. Is there a specific reason its faster?
Just wondering, because its excruciatingly slow to debug in this
mode, almost ridiculous. (no offense intended)

I've used Guard Malloc a lot, and it is indeed both very helpful and
very slow. I've noticed a few things: having lots (I'm talking at least
2-4 GB) of physical RAM helps a lot, rebooting before a session also
helps a lot (so there's lots of physical memory free). Lastly, it's way
faster on the Intel iMac for some reason.
I see, well, I wonder who can buy my powerbook?!ヽ(^o^)丿
