Beginning Xcode

I've been using Xcode for about a year after switching over from
CodeWarrior, and with a few pains, eventually got my (wxWidgets-based) app
ported, compiled as UB, and released. At first, the many differences between
CW and Xcode (and aching slowness of the latter) were very frustrating; but
eventually I got used to the changes (and a MBP helped with the speed
issue).

A few days ago I was marooned in a Barnes & Noble for an hour or so and
picked up James Bucanek's "Beginning Xcode" to while away the time. Within
about 5 minutes I found myself saying "wow, I didn't know you could do
that," and "so that's what that symbol does", and after about half an hour I
had seen far more useful stuff than I could possibly remember -- so I bought
it.

The reason for bringing it up on this list is: even if you read through all
the Xcode documentation (I did) and consider yourself somewhat knowledgeable
about Xcode (I used to), reading "Beginning Xcode" is a really good way to
bump up your productivity. Even if you're not a total beginner.

(Disclaimer: This posting is unsolicited; I don't know the author or the
publisher; I just like useful tools, and thought I'd share my experience.)
