I'm confused. Are you saying that the project entry in the list (the one at the very top of the Group & Files list with the Xcode document icon) is considered to be akin to a folder, or does it represent the actual .pbxproj project *file*?


Sometimes it represents the .pbxproj, because doing a Get SCM Info or Edit will work only on that file, but in other places it looks like Xcode is treating it as the .xcodeproj folder, for example when you select it, then look at the Compare With or Diff With submenus, they are completely disabled.
