Wrong. *.pp files in Open Inventor need to be preprocessed (with the
ppp tool included with OIV) to become valid C++ (*.cpp file). Have a
look at the makefiles to find out how to use ppp.
Once you've done so, you can set up a custom build rule in the target
using those files that transforms *.pp files into *.cpp files. Xcode
will then compile those automatically.
