Re: Xcode rendering the '*' character strangely

Rebooting or (sometimes) opening Font Book and dragging the size slider around for the font in question (Monaco 9 for me) can also fix this most annoying problem.

This is usually caused by a corrupt font cache. You should be able to fix it from the Terminal:

rm /Library/Caches/com.apple.ATS/$UID/*

Hi

I've been working in Xcode all day and it has been rendering the '*' character normally. After quitting and relaunching however, I notice that '*' now looks like a 2 pixel horizontal line with a 1 pixel vertical line going through it's center (sort of like a squished plus sign.) I checked for caps lock/number lock but everything appears to be in order. Has anyone seen this before and if so how did you fix it?

Thanks for any help

Ken
