Re: Getting Touched Resources to be Recopied

I think it's a bug. We've seen this for nib files that have been edited from time to time. Causes grief when things don't work and it takes a while to figure out the issue. I've been meaning to find a bug, but haven't had a reproducible case yet.

If you can make a simple reproducible case, please file a bug with apple.

I received a private reply suggesting that I put my .html files in a "Copy Files" Build Phase instead of "Copy Bundle Resources". So, I did this:

1. In Target, create a new Copy Files Build Phase.
2. Name it "Recopy Resources"
3. In Target, move the Resources folder from "Copy Bundle Resources" to "Recopy Resources" Build Phase.
4. Within Xcode, edit the text of one of the Help .html files in the Resources folder.
5. Build.
6. Run.
7. In running app, menu > Help and view the edited .html file

EXPECTED RESULT:
The edits should be seen.

ACTUAL RESULT:
I still see the old version.

8. Clean
9. Repeat steps 5-7.

RESULT:
Now, I see the edits. Again, "Clean" is necessary to do the job.

So, the answer is: No, that does not help.

I'd appreciate if someone could tell me...

Am I doing something wrong?
Am I the only dummy that has such wild expectations?

Jerry

P.S. The private reply also commented that he thought syntax coloring of HTML in Xcode is OK. It looks weird to me, but maybe there are errors in my HTML causing this. Let's not get off on that tangent. Forget what I said about syntax coloring.
