I don't expect any of you to know Gambit. I want to know the
technical details of Leopard's changes regarding the filesystem and
io, and possibly anything else you think could cause the problem. I
have tried debugging the system with dtrace, but everything looks
normal. Have you guys faced anything as alarming as this when
programming on Leopard? If not, out of the things that have changed,
what do you think could be causing this (with the general idea of what
a compiler does)? Are there any good articles about the technical
differences of Leopard?
Have you looked at the console output? It's possible Leopard is
spewing warnings for something that once didn't.
