Re: Xcode 2.5: no uninstall.pl

The previous install of Xcode 2.5 I had was: salt_8m2540a_developerdvd_693637977.dmg. In the Utilities folder of that disk was a devtools uninstaller script.

With this latest release there doesn't seem to be any such uninstaller in the distribution.

Can I use the previous uninstaller script with this release?

You don't need an uninstaller. Drag Xcode2.5 to the Trash, and it's uninstalled. Installation of Xcode 2.5 places nothing inside the /System hierarchy.

This is true when installing Xcode 2.5 on Leopard. When installing on Tiger, we continue to place content outside the Developer folder and on the boot volume. However, we still do provide an uninstaller script, it's just been renamed. Look in the Library folder of the Xcode directory for the uninstall-devtools script (on Tiger this exists at /Developer/Library/uninstall-devtools, on Leopard it exists at <Xcode directory>/Library/uninstall-devtools).

And a lot of other v.interesting stuff.

Thanks!

A similar script exists on Leopard too.
