Is my experience with the debug library typical? Is there any way
to reduce the noise level?
The noise level comes mainly because we don't update the _debug and
_profile libraries when we build System Updates. Really (and this is
true back to 10.0) the only reliable _debug variant is 10.X.0; any
System Update results in .0.0 behavior on an otherwise .0.X system.
That's likely the cause of the logging, and maybe the other problems
as well.
Hate to say it, but _debug/_profile feature is poorly maintained
within Apple.
