[Xgrid] art?

Hi guys,

I was trying to remember the exact format of how to command line something, so did the good old "man xgrid"..
and noticed that now Leopard has some changes to it's man..

xgrid -job run [-gid grid-identifier] [-si stdin] [-in indir]
[-so stdout] [-se stderr] [-out outdir] [-email email-address]
           [-art art-path -artid art-identifier] [-artequal art-value]
           [-artmin art-value] [-artmax art-value] cmd [arg1 [...]]

xgrid -job submit [-gid grid-identifier] [-si stdin] [-in indir]
[-dids jobid [, jobid]*] [-email email-address]
           [-art art-path -artid art-identifier] [-artequal art-value]
           [-artmin art-value] [-artmax art-value] cmd [arg1 [...]]

notably the inclusion of the "-art" stuff.

I've glanced through Apple's new Xgrid/HPC docs (MAJOR thanks to Apple for a *headdesk* reduction there!),
unfortunately there seems to be extremely little information about what this is for?

for what I can nut out, from various google translated japanese websites, it appears to be something about conditional execution of jobs?

Is there anyone that can either explain to me what it is, or point me in the right direction?

thanks,
mark
