I am currently testing a newest version that uses an updated version
of my GridEZ framework (that encapsulates a lot of the Xgrid stuff
and more), and I will probably release that next week if all looks
good. It is all open-source, so you can (easily?) modify it to your
liking...
You may of course contact me directly if you have questions about
GridStuffer. (hint to anybody that sends me emails: not sure how fast
I will answer, but I will eventually answer; not that I get tons of
email, but I am slow).

I've been using Xgrid locally with blender for a couple years, but
finally saved up enough to purchase a copy of OSX-Server to play on
my old PowerMac to use a controller. The idea is create a
community renderfarm for Blender 3D (an opensource 3D animation
program). During the preview release (which I still have a copy of
the Xgrid.app file that came with that) had a "Custom Plug-in"
setting.
In the current Xcode developers tool kit there is the Xgrid Feeder
example (previously Xfeed in Xgrid.app). When we attempt using
that has our default GUI interface, it just passes the command and
argument along. We need it to also pass the file.blend to the
agents as well. When blender is called on an agent machine we get
a "NO CAMERA ERROR: FILE CANNOT BE LOCATED" meaning the file is
not being sent, it is looking for the file.blend locally on the
agent machine.
My first instinct is to try and modify the feeder example code from
Apple, but that's going to take some time as I come from a PERL
background in server scripting and have to figure out all the files
and such in XCode. So any ideas and or pointers would be extremely
helpful.
Thanks.
