Re: [Xgrid] Me again, declaring jobs dead

Hi Jonathan,

My new question though, is how do I signal to the xgrid controller that an agent has failed?  I remember reading somewhere that wasn't possible, but I think that was a really old post.

Do you mean, "From inside a running task, how I do 'abort' so that the agent knows to tell the controller that the task failed and should be resubmitted?"

Or, "How do I tell the controller that a particular agent machine has died, and should not be sent any more tasks?" (and that the current task should also be re-assigned).

I think it also depends on what kind of failure you want to signal. Could you provide a more concrete example?
