If you google "introduction xgrid" you'll get lots of useful hits, including
a doc at Apple's developer site on using MPI with Xgrid.
Re grid submission, there are a number of options. We use Charles Parnot's
GridStuffer and find it excellent, especially we tend to run large, large
jobs.
