The .Trashes directory in your Xsan Volume might be filled up..



Your clients can fill the .Trashes directory and you will loose diskspace.. ;-(

When U see this you might want to cleanup!

metadata:/Volumes/VIDEOsan/.Trashes root# du .

256 ./1202
256 ./1203
33536 ./1301
80832640 ./1305
1024 ./1313/Recovered files
768 ./1313/Recovered files #1
2560 ./1313

80880000 .

UserID 1306 has 80GB files in the trash, you didn't know this right?

Solution:

1. On the MDC mount this Volume
2. cd to the .Trashes directory
3. chown -R root .
4. chmod -R 777 .
5. rm -Rf .
6. Done
