Finder Search with XSAN

I'm trying to do a search in 10.4.4 for all of my FCP projects on our XSan volume, using "Final Cut Pro Project File" as the "Kind". For some reason, nothing pops up and the search finishes immediately, though I know there are at least 100. When I switch and tell it to look on my local drive, it finds the files immediately. Anyone have any thoughts as to what might cause this? or workarounds?
