Using XSan 1.2, I find that I cannot specify the network interface to be used unless a machine is a controller. For clients, that dropdown in XSan Admin is grayed out and says "select automatically."

I've gotten around this by setting my two clients as controllers with low failover priority.

Is there someplace else I should be looking?
