Re: Other storage vendors

I'll add a fourth vote for Active Storage. We now have 3 master chassis and an expansion chassis online in several Xsan volumes at two locations. Their support team is very knowledgeable and friendly. When we got our first chassis/expansion chassis pair we had a number of issues trying to get things up and running. The Active guys were incredibly responsive and helpful in diagnosing the problem. Ultimately turned out to be a specific revision of the Apple/LSI HBAs has problems hosting metadata LUNs on the Active equipment. We have quite a mixture of fibre channel hardware, some newer and some dating back to Xsan 1.0, so it was interesting to try to nail it down. Once we identified the problem, I rearranged our fibre channel cards and everything has been smooth sailing since.
