- Thread-topic: WWDC Lion Server question
If you look at Apple's new Lion web pages, http://www.apple.com/macosx/server/how-to-buy/, under Step 2 is says the following:
"You’ll need Snow Leopard Server v10.6.6 or later to purchase Lion and Lion Server from the Mac App Store. If you have Snow Leopard Server, click the Apple icon and choose Software Update to install the latest version."
This sounds to me like the $50 price (+$30 for Lion client) is an upgrade price from Snow Leopard server. This changes everything. I emailed Apple using the web page contact and will wait to hear what they say but if anyone at WWDC can corner a salesrep, please ask them to confirm this. I hope I'm wrong on this cost. It would be a great upgrade cost for existing users but would keep new server users from buying this package.
