AXRoleDescription issue

  • Subject: AXRoleDescription issue
  • From: Bill Cheeseman <email@hidden>

Why do so many of the existing UIElements have AXRoleDescription attributes
that simply parrot the AXRole string? I thought the description attribute
was meant for speaking or inclusion in human-readable text. My users will be
confused if they are told to "move the AXValueIndicator of the AXScrollBar."

Will this be fixed? And will the strings be internationalized? Or do we have
to code our own translation tables?
