We will be making use of the accessibility API for a future version of KeyStrokes, our on-screen keyboard with dwelling software for Mac OS X (http://www.assistiveware.com/keystrokes.html). KeyStrokes does not depend on the API, but will be able to offer improved and or additional functionality through the accessibility API for applications supporting it. I know users with disabilities will appreciate that.

As was noted by someone else, adding accessibility support to your application requires especially work for custom user interface elements, not so much for the standard OS X UI elements.

David.
