First apologize for the typo.
Weak linking seems to be a good feature but I was not knowing about the it earlier. We have coded the application as we do in the other platforms using the dlopen() to check if the symbol exist then use it.
Now it will be a big change if we go by weak linking. But if you see some potential issues with dlopen approach, we might think to revert it.

I presume "loswer" means "lower", and "MAC" is supposed to mean Mac OS X? Because none of the meanings for this acronym I found make much sense to me in this context (and I checked http://www.acronymfinder.com/MAC.html)?
I.e. you want to use features in CoreServices that were added on later Mac OS X versions, but you want your application to gracefully just turn off use of those features when running under older Mac OS X releases? In that case, a better solution would probably be to weak-link the CoreServices framework.
