Hi Mark,
No you got the idea but for the iPad versions of Angry Birds (I can't see well enough to play them on the iPhone :)) they are all called Angry Birds which is why I used them as an example. I can change CFBundleDisplayName but that also affects the title under the icon which you want to keep short. I'm thinking they could use CFBundleName for the icon name (and read CFBundleDisplayName for VoiceOver) as iOS really doesn't show long names well on the home screen.
