When the kind of logic diagram we used to use (at NCR) in the early 1970s
didn't fit comfortably on an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper, it was time to
decompose some more. [I spent so much time decomposing, I'm surprised I'm
still around at all. ;-).]
That was far better than the old idea of drawing flowcharts on butcher
paper (or other handy wide, rolled paper, of which you could obtain a 10-
or 20-foot length as needed).
