I tried both suggestions the " set visible to true" and the "activate
first" neither worked but this did get me to thinking about maybe the
app caused it somehow so I added a "try" and an "on error" to display
the current processes while the script was running the output of this
showed that according to the finder the process I could see running
didn't exist...
go figure! So I tried it with several other apps and sure enough; if the
app was started from within a classic applet the finder could only see
the applet not the app it started?
any suggestions would be helpful here, the one thing I haven't tried is
hiding the applet with the process --> visible statement!
thanks for the help ( Still testing though! )
