Hello:
I'm still limping along in 10.1.4 in part because I've been reluctant to
move full time to X, and in part because it's essentially impossible for
me to play any sort of frequent upgrade game on a dialup connection (of
about 20 kbps).
I'm wondering if it's likely/probable that Panther in retail form will
contain a full set of developer tools when it hits the streets?
I'd also like to know if there will be an alternative method for making
browser protocol entries offered soon... or when Explorer 'leaves town'
will we be left with nothing?

Parenthetically, a certain Gary Lists has recently been spreading wild
rumors about an effort of mine, Missing Link, which is now (again)
available in demo form but does not, at present offer the full
functionality he speaks of... though it could probably be readily
incorporated... and has already been proven to work as he suggests.

... and may _finally_, after several years of failed efforts, be nearly
ready for prime time.
Thanks to any / all brave enough to try it and report back. The first
five users to make detailed comment on testing it will receive an all
expense paid trip to Mars, and the keys to a rover vehicle.
