A rusty nail in the eye beats dot notation.
Dot notation was designed so that programmers could feel good that you have
to have that bullet in the frontal lobe to understand it, and it would keep
the unwashed masses from ever wanting to try it.
If elitism is a requirement for a programming language to be good, then by
all means, dot away.
